Kittens have special health care needs in the first few months of their lives. PetCare has developed a comprehensive kitten wellness schedule to meet these needs. In addition to the services listed below, PetCare will provide informative advice and suggestions to help get you and your kitten started out on the right paw.

Age 6-8 weeks

  • Complete Physical Examination
  • Felv test (leukemia)
  • Initial FVRCP vaccine (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia)
  • Oral deworming/consultation on intestinal parasite control
  • Initial application of topical flea/tick control
  • Discussion of health and socialization recommendations

Age 12 weeks

  • Physical Examination
  • FVRCP 2nd Booster
  • Initial Leukemia (Felv) vaccine
  • Fecal testing (please bring a sample less than 6 hours old)
  • Consultation on the prevention of heartworm disease
  • Discussion of health and development

Age 16 weeks

  • Physical Examination
  • Rabies vaccine, tag and cirtificate
  • FVRCP 3rd Booster
  • Felv 2nd Booster
  • Discussion of health and development

Next vaccines due one year later.

Age 20 weeks

  • Microchip Identification
  • Surgical Spay for female kittens
  • Surgical Neuter for male kittens
